


Once you get into the over $400 range, you may want to look for something that either (a) has better hardware (an all out laptop) or (b) will simply work (iPad or something from the Apple education thread - with free headphones). The Chrome OS is fantastic, however, the hardware simply isn’t made for large zoom calls, YouTube (or tumble math/epic etc) AND collaborative google slides all at once. I can’t see the Costco price, but for me, $300 is on the upper end of what I’d pay for a chromebook. Keep in mind when logged into a school account, you will have a significant boost in google drive storage - which is where all their “work” will be stored anyways.
